1972年大阪府生まれ、ベルリン在住。
2008年芸術選奨文部科学大臣新人賞受賞。
2008年国立国際美術館、2012年丸亀市猪熊弦一郎現代美術館、2013年高知県立美術館、2014年スミソニアン博物館アーサー・M・サックラーギャラリー、2018年南オーストラリア美術館、ヨークシャー彫刻公園を含む世界各地にて個展多数。
2001年横浜トリエンナーレ、2012年キエフ国際現代美術ビエンナーレ、2016年シドニー・ビエンナーレほか国際展も多数参加。
2015年には第56回ベネチア・ビエンナーレ国際美術展日本館代表。

Awarded the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s Art Encouragement Prize for New Artists in 2008.
Held many solo exhibitions including The National Museum of Art in 2008, Marugame Genichiro-Inokuma Museum of Contemporary Art, The Museum of Art, Kochi in 2012,Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, Smithsonian Institution in 2014,Art Gallery of South Australia, Yorkshire Sculpture Park in 2018.
Participated to various group exhibitions worldwide, YOKOHAMA 2001: International Triennale of Contemporary Art in 2001, The First Kyiv International Biennale of Contemporary Art in 2012, 20^th Biennale of Sydney in 2016,The exhibiting artist of Japan Pavilion of the 56^th Venice Biennale Art Exhibition in 2015.
